Directors' Council 

Organizational link: His Excellency the President of the University.

 

General objective: The council is responsible for looking into technical and administrative administrative matters without prejudice to what is stipulated in the regulations and provisions regulating the management councils.

 

Board Members: The Board of Directors is headed by the General Supervisor of the Information Technology Department and the membership of:

  • Directors of the management departments.
  • Two or three people with expertise and competence in information technology, whether from within or outside the management.

 

Mission:

The tasks of the Board of Directors are as follows:

  •  Proposing or amending information technology policies at Northern Borders University and following up on their implementation.
  •  Reviewing and suggesting amendments to internal regulations that govern the administration's work based on best technical practices. 
  •  Examining reports received from various offices and departments and issuing recommendations based on their findings. 
  •  Evaluation and endorsement of the annual report of the university's management, which is then submitted to the relevant authority. 
  •  Creating procedures and performance indicators to enhance digital transformation at Northern Border University in line with authorized references. 
  • Authorization of feasibility studies and project scopes for digital transformation initiatives conducted by the Project Management Office. 
  •  Approval of minutes from technical committees overseeing digital transformation projects. 
  • Reviewing and endorsing financial summaries for digital transformation projects submitted by the Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs. 
  •  Proposing plans for community collaboration in coordination with relevant stakeholders within and outside the university.
  •  Analyzing technical and administrative human resources files and making appropriate decisions. 
  •  Developing plans to enhance the technical infrastructure at Northern Border University, adhering to best technological practices and maximizing cost-effectiveness. 
  •  Adjudicating technical matters within its jurisdiction while guiding the university council if needed. 
  •  Considering and expressing opinions on matters referred to it by the university council or its president for study.
